Ukraine has stated that Belarus did not provide its airspace for strikes on Ukraine, according to Ukrainian source Serhii Flash. This confirmation came amid reports of possible use of Belarusian territory for Russian operations. Kyiv notes Minsk's non-participation in direct combat operations.
Ukraine has officially confirmed that Belarus did not provide its airspace for drone strikes on Ukrainian territory. Minsk has distanced itself from direct participation in hostilities, although in the initial phase it allowed Russia to use its territory for the offensive on Kyiv.
Official recognition by Kyiv of Belarus's non-participation in attacks reduces the risk of conflict expansion to the north and impacts strategic planning for the defence of Ukrainian airspace. This clarification allows Ukrainian air defence to concentrate resources on repelling attacks from other directions and improves understanding of real threats to civilian infrastructure.
