The sowing campaign has started across all of Kazakhstan, reports Qazinform. Some 23.8 million hectares of land have already been sown.
The land areas cover the main agricultural regions of the republic. Alongside sowing, agricultural equipment is being updated — by 2026, the renewal of the equipment fleet is forecast to reach 8%.
Kazakhstan has officially launched its spring sowing campaign across the entire territory of the republic, covering key agricultural regions from north to south. Operations have begun simultaneously across millions of hectares for the production of wheat, barley and oilseed crops.
The timeliness and volume of spring sowing determines the future harvest and food prices on the domestic market — delays or failures in the campaign could affect the availability and cost of products in summer and autumn. Kazakhstan, as a major grain producer, also influences regional prices in Central Asia, which could indirectly affect imported goods in neighbouring countries.
