Russian company Arkodiм has developed an air defense system based on neural networks capable of tracking small unmanned aircraft even during brief loss of visual contact. The algorithms automatically calculate target ballistics and track their trajectory, reducing operator workload and shortening the system's reaction time.
If the system sees combat application, it could change the effectiveness of anti-drone protection for civil infrastructure facilities and redistribute demand for air defense system services among military contractors. Development of domestic technology in this field could also reduce dependence on imported analogues and influence the cost of defense contracts.
