Ukraine's Armed Forces conducted a massive overnight strike on Russian positions. According to data from Ukraine's unmanned systems forces, 55 strikes were delivered against 23 Russian military targets on the territory of Russia and occupied lands during the night of May 15. The strikes targeted aircraft, air defense systems, and a vessel carrying ammunition. Operation commander Robert "Madyar" Brovdi confirmed the attacks.
Ukraine conducted one of its largest drone operations, striking 55 targets at 23 Russian military facilities in a single night. Military aircraft, a helicopter, air defense systems, an ammunition supply vessel, and an oil refinery in Ryazan were hit.
A large-scale attack on Russian fuel infrastructure and logistics could increase pressure on energy prices in the region and complicate ammunition supplies to the Russian army. The operation demonstrates Ukraine's growing capability to strike deep into Russia, which may affect the course of military operations and the negotiation process.
