Turkey achieved a major engineering milestone. The bridge-moving operation, which was projected to take months, was completed in hours using sliding technology.
Giant bridges, each weighing 1,000 tons, were successfully placed in their planned positions thanks to the special system. The operation served as proof of the technical capacity of the country's infrastructure projects.
Turkish engineers succeeded in transporting 1000-ton bridges in hours rather than months using specialised sliding technology. This operation achieved significant savings in labour and costs compared to conventional methods, in addition to time savings.
Such efficiency increases in infrastructure projects can lower construction costs, leading to budget savings for urban development and transportation projects. When similar projects are accelerated in the country, disruptions to traffic flow will be shortened and construction processes will become more economical.
