25 US States Sue Against Trump's Tariffs on 60 Trading Partners

According to Anadolu Agency, 25 state governors in the United States have filed a lawsuit in federal court against the executive order issued by President Donald Trump's administration imposing customs duties on products imported from 60 trading partners.

The lawsuit directly affects the basket of goods exported from Turkey to the United States. Turkey's exports to the US in 2024 stood at approximately 15 billion dollars; textiles, automotive parts, and chemicals constitute the main items of this export.

The tariffs at the center of the lawsuit place at the forefront the question of whether Trump is using his executive authority beyond constitutional limits in international trade policy.
