The Egyptian star departing Liverpool has arrived in Istanbul in maroon-and-blue colors; transfer signing awaited.

Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah landed in Istanbul on Wednesday ahead of his anticipated transfer to Trabzonspor. According to Al Jazeera, Salah was greeted at the airport by hundreds of supporters wearing maroon-and-blue jerseys.
Salah became a free agent this summer after seven seasons with Liverpool, where he joined in 2017. His move to the Super Lig represents the most striking example of the acceleration in foreign star transfers witnessed in recent years. Trabzonspor has continued its policy of increasing squad investment following its 2022 championship.
Transfer fees and contract duration have not yet been confirmed by Trabzonspor or Salah's representatives. The timing of the Turkish Football Federation license application has also not been announced. Salah is expected to make his Super Lig debut for Trabzonspor in the club's upcoming home fixture.
