Expert Survey Conducted Against Mining Drilling in Ordu

An expert survey was conducted to halt mining drilling operations in Perşembe Plateau in Ordu. Residents of the region are continuing their presence on site in opposition to excavation work. CHP lawmakers also voiced their reaction to the operations.

Citizens, concerned that the drilling would damage the environment, chanted the slogan "We will not allow plundering." Authorities stated that provincial officials will make a decision following the inspections. People living in the region are worried about the protection of agricultural lands and water sources.
