President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed the commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two states. The leaders set an ambitious goal: to increase the volume of bilateral trade to $15 billion.
This reflects growing economic cooperation between the countries. It was previously reported that Turkish companies have launched approximately one hundred investment projects in Kazakhstan valued at $4 billion.
Kazakhstan and Turkey agreed to increase trade volume to $15 billion following negotiations between presidents Tokayev and Erdogan in Astana. The sides will expand cooperation in trade, investment, transport, energy, agriculture, education and defence.
Trade growth between the countries will create new opportunities for Kazakhstani exports, particularly in the agrosector and transport logistics, and will attract additional Turkish investments capable of influencing regional economic development. For companies operating in the energy and logistics sectors, this means potential contracts and partnerships within the strengthening corridor between the countries.
