Eight-hour planned water cut due to earthquake resilience work on the Sarayburnu-Münzevi Samatya water line in Kocamustafapaşa.

Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (ISKİ) announced a planned water cut in seven neighborhoods of Fatih district starting at 22:00 on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, and continuing until 06:00 on Wednesday morning, August 12.
The cut stems from flexible pipe connector installation and earthquake resilience enhancement work being carried out on the Sarayburnu-Münzevi Samatya water line within the boundaries of Kocamustafapaşa neighborhood. The affected neighborhoods are: Cerrahpaşa, Haseki Sultan, Kocamustafapaşa, Sümbülefendi, Yedikule, Silivrikapı, and Seyyid Ömer.
ISKİ's last major intervention in the water line infrastructure in Fatih took place last year in the Aksaray region; that work similarly began around midnight and continued until early morning hours. Residents of the area are advised to fill their water tanks in advance.
