İlksen Özalper was taken into custody on suspicion of bribery and organized crime for profit and was ordered detained by the on-duty peace judge.

YENİ Party Manisa Provincial Chair İlksen Özalper, who was detained as part of a bribery and organized crime for profit investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Prosecutor's Office, was ordered detained by the on-duty peace judge at his hearing. According to reports by Sözcü Gazette and Cumhuriyet, the investigation file was initially opened at the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office before being transferred to Ankara.
YENİ Party Manisa Deputy Ahmet Vehbi Bakırlıoğlu announced the detention on social media and used the phrase "We see whose interests this dirty game serves."
While the party attributed the detention decision to political motivation, the prosecutor's office has not yet made a public statement regarding the substance of the investigation. Since its founding last year, YENİ Party is facing such a direct judicial proceeding at the provincial level for the first time.
