480 Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the second day of the Jewish New Year "Rosh Hashanah," according to the Palestinian Jerusalem Authority.

The Anadolu Agency reported, citing the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, that the intruders entered through the Bab al-Maghariba gate into the Al-Aqsa courtyards, where they conducted provocative tours and performed Talmudic rituals and collective prayers.

This breach is based on a unilateral Israeli decision issued in 2003 that allows settlers to enter Al-Aqsa without permission from the Islamic Endowment Department in Jerusalem, the body overseeing the mosque under the Jordanian-Israeli peace treaty signed on October 26, 1994.

The Islamic Endowment Department in Jerusalem described these breaches as threatening Islamic sovereignty over the holy sites. Al-Aqsa faces daily breaches by extremist Jewish groups every day except Friday and Saturday.
