British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is facing growing pressure to resign following significant losses for the Labour Party in local elections last week, according to France 24. Starmer has been attempting to consolidate support within his Cabinet during what he described as a "febrile" period.

The local election setbacks have raised concerns among party members about Labour's prospects in the next national election. Starmer's leadership faces its most serious challenge since taking office.
