Namangan Region to Establish Aquaculture Cluster Using South Korean Technology
A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the regional administration, U.K. Global Network, and South Korean farm Aqua Plaza & Jang Hang Fish Farm.

Uzbekistan's Namangan Region plans to establish a major next-generation aquaculture cluster by attracting foreign direct investment and utilizing South Korean technology, according to the regional administration.
The project was discussed during a working visit by a Namangan Region delegation to South Korea, led by Governor Shavkatzhon Abdurazakov. Members of the delegation visited the modern intelligent aquaculture complex Aqua Plaza & Jang Hang Fish Farm.
Following the negotiations, the Namangan Region administration, U.K. Global Network, and Aqua Plaza & Jang Hang Fish Farm signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding and cooperation.
The cluster will cover key stages of fish production: the introduction of smart aquaculture technologies with digital and intensive pond and reservoir management, deep fish processing, industrial packaging, and finished-product output for export markets. A separate focus area will be the development of in-house feed production.
