Saudi Electricity Company and National Water Company have announced amendments to electricity, water, and sewage tariffs across the Kingdom, effective January 1, 2027.

In the residential sector, Saudi Electricity Company has set consumption tariffs at 21 halalas per kilowatt-hour for tiers up to 6,000 kilowatt-hours monthly, rising to 33 halalas for amounts exceeding that. The commercial sector and private health and education facilities pay 25 halalas for the first tier and 35 halalas above 6,000 kilowatt-hours. The industrial sector connected to transmission or distribution networks has been set at 23 halalas, while the agricultural sector pays 19 halalas up to the same monthly threshold and 23 halalas above it. Charitable organizations benefit from a reduced tariff starting at 17 halalas and rising to 21 halalas for consumption exceeding 6,000 kilowatt-hours, while government entities are subject to a flat rate of 35 halalas per kilowatt-hour.

Regarding fixed fees, the monthly charge in the residential sector ranges from 70 riyals for circuit breakers from 20 to 99 amperes, 80 riyals for 100 to 199 amperes, 90 riyals for 200 to 299 amperes, and 100 riyals for amounts exceeding 300 amperes. The agricultural sector and charitable organizations have fixed fees ranging from 140 to 200 riyals depending on circuit breaker capacity. These fees increase in industrial, commercial, government, and private health and education sectors to between 350 and 900 riyals depending on circuit breaker capacity.

These amendments coincide with royal directives providing support to employees in military, government, and private sectors. Saudi Electricity Company has asked individual customers and institutions to review updated tariff details on its official website and contact it through official channels for any inquiries regarding bills or the application of new tariffs.
