Armed clash in Ankara's Keçiören: 8 arrested, 3 unlicensed weapons found at hideout

The Ankara Chief Prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into an armed clash in Keçiören in which one group arrived by vehicle and opened fire, while a second group pursued them by vehicle.

Teams from the Ankara Police Department apprehended the group that opened fire at their hideout, with a special operations unit deployed in the operation. Three unlicensed weapons were discovered in the search. Suspects from the pursuing group were identified and detained by the Keçiören District Police Department; approximately 2,000 drug pills were seized at this group's address.

Of the 10 suspects in detention, 8 — identified as H.Y., B.A., E.G., S.S., A.E., F.G., E.Ş., and M.T. — were referred to court and remanded in custody on charges of weapons trafficking, drug trafficking, and attempted murder. The remaining 2 suspects were released.

Weapons recovered at the scene were sent for forensic examination and ballistic comparison. TRT Haber reported.
