Simultaneous operations in Istanbul and Ankara: 8 suspects detained in 4 shooting incidents

In simultaneous operations carried out in Istanbul and Ankara on the morning of August 14, 2026, eight suspects identified as involved in four separate shooting and injury incidents were apprehended and detained.

TRT Haber confirmed the same operation. Reports indicated that the operation was coordinated from Istanbul.

It appears that the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is following the legal proceedings. The districts where suspects were apprehended and the neighborhoods where the shooting incidents took place have not yet been disclosed to the public.
