First Block Train China–Iran Passed Through Uzbekistan
A 55-car freight train carrying auto components and consumer goods will cover more than 6,000 km in 14–16 days.

The first container block train on the China–Iran route has been dispatched through Uzbekistan's territory, according to a statement from the press service of Uztemiryulkonteyner, a subsidiary of Uzbek Railways.
The 55-car train is loaded with automobile components, consumer goods, and general cargo. The route begins at Chenxiang station in China and passes through Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan to the border station of Sarahs. The total distance of the route exceeds 6,000 km.
Kazakh company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) accepted the train at the Khorgos–Altynkol border crossing. On September 7, the train departed from Altynkol station along the established route. On the next segment, the block train will enter Uzbekistan through Keles station, after which it will head to Turkmenistan through Khodzhadvlet station. The train is expected to reach its destination within 14–16 days.
Uztemiryulkonteyner intends to establish regular container shipments along the China–Central Asia–Iran corridor. In June of this year, the company already conducted a test shipment from Southeast Asia to Tajikistan.
